Matt Gaetz addresses election results and allegations on social media

Rep. Matt Gaetz, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 1st district since 2017, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various political issues and personal controversies. Gaetz, who has been in office since replacing Jeff Miller, also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Gaetz tweeted about an unspecified individual or situation with a decisive statement: "He’ll be fired. Day One."

In another tweet on December 10, 2024, Gaetz addressed allegations made against him by Susan Wild. He stated: "Susan Wild was rejected by her own voters in November. She lost. I was re-elected by mine. 2/3 of the vote. Then, Wild leaked false allegations about me which were so unfounded that they were rejected by the Biden DOJ."

Later on December 10, Gaetz questioned the stance of a prominent civil rights organization in his tweet: "Does it feel wrong that the NAACP is on the side of the dangerous buskers?"
