Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) revealed the victors of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for Florida’s First District at Artel Gallery in Pensacola. The competition, a yearly event sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, showcases the artistic talents of high school students from the district.
The first-place winner of the competition is Noah Villarreal from Navarre High School with his piece titled "Essence." In second place is Eliana Batarao from Fort Walton Beach High School with her artwork named “Sick!” The third-place spot was secured by Gianna Tagliere from Pace High School with her creation titled “Burnout.”
Other notable mentions include Layla Prochazka from Navarre High School with “Beauty in Solitude,” Caitlin Bunner from Pace High School with “Racoon,” and Ella Levin from Pensacola Catholic High School with “The City of Monsters.”
The winning artwork will be exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for a year, alongside pieces from other participating districts across the nation. Congratulations to all the talented young artists who participated in this year's competition.
