The Argonauts are coming off a 9-2 season

The UWF football team will open the 2022 season ranked No. 11 following the release of the AFCA Division II Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll on Monday.
 
The Argonauts are among five Gulf South Conference teams in the poll, with Valdosta State at No. 3 and West Georgia at No. 12. Delta State and West Alabama are among the other teams receiving votes.
 
UWF went 9-2 a year ago and shared the GSC title with the Blazers at 6-1 after defeating them 61-42 in the final game of the regular-season.
 
The Argos open the 2022 season on September 3 when they host Warner at Pen Air Field on the UWF campus. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
