The University of West Florida Haas Center will host researchers from across the nation at the 75th annual Association for University Business and Economic Research Fall Conference: Economic Resiliency from Coast to Coast, at the Hilton Pensacola Beach, Oct. 15 – 18, 2022.

The University of West Florida Haas Center will host researchers from across the nation at the 75th annual Association for University Business and Economic Research Fall Conference: Economic Resiliency from Coast to Coast, at the Hilton Pensacola Beach, Oct. 15 – 18, 2022.

The conference will feature experts delivering practical information on the national economy and the industries that make it grow. Featured speakers include David Altig, executive vice president and director of research for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Douglas Woodward, of the University of South Carolina. Thought leaders will also discuss current issues facing all communities including pandemic recovery, monetary volatility, supply chain issues, international turmoil and economic and industry resiliency. 

“We are honored to host this event in our community,” said Nicole Gislason, executive director of the UWF Haas Center. “We encourage participation from community leaders around Northwest Florida and South Alabama. The conference is also well suited for reporters tracking the region’s economy, policy makers and university students.”
