Rep. Matt Gaetz, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 1st district since 2017, has shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Gaetz, who succeeded Jeff Miller and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016, has been vocal about his political stances.

On February 10, 2025, Gaetz tweeted about the calls to ban Nazis on Twitter back in 2017. He noted that while he initially supported the idea, it led to complications when "Twitter employees" equated MAGA supporters with Nazis. Reflecting on this experience, he mentioned Senator Lee's call to "ban porn on X," expressing his reluctance to support similar bans again. "Everyone circa 2017: 'Ban Nazi’s on twitter!' Me: 'yeah!' Twitter employees: 'MAGA are Nazi’s' Me: (shoot!) Senator Lee: 'ban porn on X' Me: (not falling for this again)"

Later that day, Gaetz referenced his opposition to funding certain military groups by tweeting about his vote against financing the Azov Battalion. "I denounced it when I voted against funding the Azov Battalion"

In another tweet posted on February 11, 2025, Gaetz described an unspecified event or conversation as a "fascinating discussion." "Fascinating discussion"
