On February 2, 2025, Rep. Gaetz commented on foreign aid and corruption. In his tweet, he stated that "President Bukele is correct," emphasizing the importance for U.S. policymakers to understand that "the governments that DO want extensive USAID entanglement are often involved in the most corrupt enterprises in the world."
