U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz Announces 2024 Service Academy Nominations

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida's First Congressional District has announced his 2024 Service Academy Nominations. The announcement was made during an event held at Navarre High School, where Gaetz nominated students for the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Among the students nominated for the United States Air Force Academy are Jackson Arthaud from Ramstein High School in Germany, Lauren Bage from Choctawhatchee High School, Emory Carroll from Pace High School, Rafael Garcia from Gulf Breeze High School, Matthew Jackson from Niceville High School, Davin McArty from Crestview High School, Rayne Mendez from Niceville High School, Nathaniel Nocher from Crestview High School, Alexander Porter from Fort Walton Beach High School, Noah Scopac from Niceville High School, Sarah Stillman from Gulf Breeze High School, and Carter Tobik from Fort Walton Beach High School.

For the United States Military Academy, Gaetz nominated Van Carter from Niceville High School, Kain Doebele from Crestview High School, Austin Klidy from Choctawhatchee High School, Jesse Lee from Navarre High School, Michael Mancuso from Gulf Breeze High School, Brenner Mavity from Navarre High School, Samantha McCraney from Niceville High School, Andrew Nettles from Gulf Breeze High School, Anna Roth from Stuttgart High School in Germany, and Gennaro Smith from Navarre High School.

The nominations for the United States Naval Academy include Jesse Burks from Great Mills High School in Maryland, Megan Corcoran from Florida Virtual High School, Reeve Dwyer from Fort Walton Beach High School, James Ervin from St. Mary's Ryken High School in Maryland, Bailey Gable from Choctawhatchee High School, Benjamin Johnson from Navarre High School, Jacob Lawrence from West Florida High School, Benedict Josef Maranon from AFNORTH International School in the Netherlands, Edward O'Brien from Tate High School, and Alexis Parker from Pace High School.

Lastly, for the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Gaetz nominated Akadian Campbell from Baker High School, Jhonatan Cardenas from Niceville High School, Darrell Dunham from Trinitas Christian Academy, Katelynn Johnson from Navarre High School, Elizabeth Killman from Niceville High School, Gabriel Mallard from Vilseck High School in Germany, Tanushri Maskar from Northview High School in Georgia, James Olman from Snowshine Homeschool, Roman Romero from Zama High School in Japan, Clayton Root from Perdido Key Home Academy, Wyatt Scruggs from Northview High School in Florida, Zachary Simon from Pace High School, Ryan Stevenson from Stuttgart High School in Germany, and Griffin Woodley from Niceville High School.
