Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, June 13th, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz will be hosting a field hearing at the U.S. Capitol regarding the investigations, prosecutions, and targeting of individuals in the aftermath of January 6th, 2021. In addition to the Field Hearing on January 6th, members of Congress in attendance will also give statements on the recent indictment of President Donald J. Trump in Miami. Rep. Gaetz will be joined by other members of Congress and invited witnesses.
As a part of its constitutional oversight role, the 118th Congress is investigating the weaponization of the federal government. The federal government’s targeting of American patriots, mismanagement of overhyped cases, and unjust prosecutions of January 6th, 2021, defendants are a case study in this weaponization. Since that day, we have seen unprecedented deviations from standard law enforcement practice, outward political pressure from the FBI Washington Field Office, strong-arm prosecutorial tactics, outsized jail sentences, perjury before Congress, and more. On June 13th, 2023, join Rep. Matt Gaetz for a field hearing to expose the facts surrounding the events of that day and the treatment of our fellow Americans by our weaponized government that followed.
