School Board Approves New Administrators: Allyson Lavictoire and Lynda Bush

The Okaloosa County School Board approved Allyson Lavictoire as the Principal of Riverside Elementary School and Lynda Bush as the Director of Budgeting at the July 25, 2022, School Board meeting.

Allyson Lavictoire - Principal of Riverside Elementary

Allyson LaVictoire is a proud product of the Okaloosa County School District. She attended Northwood Elementary, Walker Elementary, Richbourg Middle School, and Crestview High School. She graduated from Northwest Florida State College with a degree in Elementary Education. After 9 years serving as a classroom teacher, she received a master’s degree in Education Leadership from the University of West Florida.

LaVictoire taught first and third grades at Northwood Elementary School for seven years. In 2017, she became an English Language Arts (ELA) Instructional Coach and has coached teachers of all grade levels at Laurel Hill School, Antioch Elementary School, Riverside Elementary School, Plew Elementary School, and Southside Primary School. Allyson has served as an Assistant Principal at Laurel Hill School and Crestview High School.

Allyson married her husband Benjamin of 12 years in 2010. Benjamin is an ELA teacher at Crestview High School. Together, they have two children: Jameson, age 8, and Harper, age 7. Jameson and Harper will be attending Riverside Elementary School with their mother. LaVictoire is thrilled to soar with the eagles as Riverside Elementary School’s new principal.

Lynda Bush - Director of Budgeting

Lynda Bush is a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County and a product of the Okaloosa County Public School system. After graduating from Crestview High School, she attended college and received a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting.

Lynda and her husband, Ryan, have been married for 25 years. They are proud parents of son, RJ, who works with his dad and grandfather in their family-owned business, and daughter, Jenna, who is about to begin her senior year at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

Bush has over 20 years of accounting experience and a proven record of strong leadership. She is proud and honored to be using her accounting and leadership skills for the benefit of the dynamic school district that played such a vital role in her own education.
