University of West Florida issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
Cowan is the first Argo to win GSC Offensive Player of the week this season
Coming off two goals and two assists on the weekend Blair Cowan has been named Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
During Friday's 3-1 over Auburn Montgomery Cowan scored the first goal of the game to put the Argos ahead 1-0. Blair had two assists during the match. Both assists helped
Lauren Ragazzone score and secure the win.
In Sunday's 3-2 win over Montevallo Blair scored her seventh goal of the season to push UWF ahead of the Falcons early in the second half.
Cowan currently leads the team with seven goals and three assists. This is the first time that Blair has been awarded GSC Offensive Player of the Week.
