University of West Florida recently issued the following announcement.
After starting the season outside the top-25 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, the University of West Florida Volleyball team wasted no time earning their place in this week's poll climbing all the way up to No. 21 in the nation after a 4-0 start to the season.
Playing in the Springhill Suites Invitational, the Argonauts swept the likes of No. 23 Wheeling, Spring Hill, Southern Indiana, and Palm Beach Atlantic this past weekend showing that they were well deserving of a top-25 ranking.
This ranking in this week's poll marks the first time that West Florida has been ranked in the AVCA Coaches Poll since the 2019 Preseason Poll in which the Argos were ranked No. 24 in the nation.
West Florida will now take their new ranking and their undefeated record to Indianapolis where they will play in the UIndy Invitational. Play will begin on Friday Sep. 10 with the Argonauts taking on Cedarville at 1 pm and UIndy at 6 pm before facing two more opponents on Saturday.
