City of Mary Esther issued the following announcement on July 17.
The Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC), a professional association of municipal clerks representing Florida’s cities, towns, villages and special districts, recently recognized Mary Esther City Clerk Dana L.S. Williams, MMC, with this year’s Clerk of the Year Award.
Given annually, this award honors an FACC member whose accomplishments have made a significant contribution toward raising the professional status, image or education of the municipal clerk profession.
“Dana is so deserving of this award,” said outgoing FACC President Debra R. Buff, MMC. “She goes above and beyond for her city and does an outstanding job in her role as city clerk. Thank you, Dana for making this profession shine and congratulations on your award!”
Williams has earned certifications as a certified professional clerk and a master municipal clerk. She has been an FACC member for seven years.
Created in 1972, the FACC is Florida’s professional association for municipal clerks and deputy clerks. The Association is affiliated with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, the Florida League of Cities and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government.
