City of Destin issued the following announcement.
The Destin Library now has 24-hour access to an up-to-date academic encyclopedia and other online research sources that they are sharing through their website. With COVID-19, many students need to study remotely or perhaps they waited until the night before to write a report for school; they now have access to credible sources of information whenever they need it. The Destin Library has online subscriptions to Encyclopedia Britannica, EBSCO Academic Search Premier, and Points of View Reference Center. These resources are not just for students, but for anyone looking for authoritative information such as journal articles, news that presents diverse perspectives on important issues and events, facts, figures, and so much more. The Library’s new databases are available online from anywhere an internet connection is available.
Go to the Destin Library’s website at cityofdestin.com/library and look for the Research Resources tab on the left side of the page to try out these new resources. If you have further questions, please contact the Library at 850-837-8572 or library@cityofdestin.com.
