Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Northwest Florida State College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Northwest Florida State College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida residents paid $3,133 to attend the four-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 281.1 percent more than residents this year, or $11,940. Their price tag was unchanged from $11,940 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Florida residents. And about 3 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 68 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 319 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million and 29 students took out student loans totaling more than $73,350.

Including all undergraduates (5,497), 3,355 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.4 million, and 241 students took out $736,812 in federal student loans.
