Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of messages on his social media account in late August 2025.

On August 28, Gaetz shared a tweet with only a link: “https://t.co/hDxVb3WflQ”.

The following day, on August 29, he commented on another post, stating “A very popular opinion https://t.co/POHofYLaqh”.

Later that same day, Gaetz posted an expression of gratitude: “Thank you! https://t.co/zpgcEblbl2”.

Matt Gaetz has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 1st District since succeeding Jeff Miller in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds degrees from Florida State University and the College of William & Mary.
