Beginning Monday, March 13, 2023, travelers can expect daytime lane closures on Hub Pressley Road, at the bridge, for approximately five days. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and flagmen will be onsite. Construction is weather-dependent and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through a work zone. Please contact Public Works at (850) 892-8108 with any questions.

A Walton County Grand Jury has indicted Dr. Thomas Shaknovsky for second-degree manslaughter after a surgical error led to an Alabama man’s death in August 2024. Authorities say Shaknovsky mistakenly removed a patient’s liver instead of his spleen during surgery.
