Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress beginning in 2017, posted a series of tweets on August 7 and 8, 2025, highlighting media content and political commentary.

On August 7, Gaetz shared an episode of a news show, stating: “The Anchormen Show Ep 47 – System Update w/ Glenn Greenwald https://t.co/4t5YRbO45X”.

Later that day, on August 8, he referenced a public response by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene to AIPAC with the tweet: “.@mtgreenee fires back at AIPAC https://t.co/GY7Zc44xaK”.

Shortly after, Gaetz posted another message containing only an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/Q0RVnGEGmK”.

Matt Gaetz began his tenure in Congress in 2017 after succeeding Jeff Miller and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982, Gaetz is a resident of Niceville. He holds degrees from Florida State University (BS) and the College of William & Mary (JD).
