Former Congressman Matt Gaetz posted a series of tweets in July 2025 addressing topics ranging from comments about Israel and Christians to satirical remarks on U.S. politics.

On July 19, 2025, Gaetz questioned the accuracy of statements made by Mike Huckabee regarding the treatment of Christians in Israel, writing, “Was Huckabee bearing false witness when he said Christians were being “harassed” by Israel?”

Two days later, on July 21, Gaetz made a satirical comment about Hunter Biden’s potential presidential ambitions: “Hunter 2028. He’s running on the aggressive platform of invading El Salvador. “ Later that same day, he posted another tweet containing only an emoji: “”

Matt Gaetz has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017 after succeeding Jeff Miller. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds degrees from Florida State University and the College of William & Mary.
