Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of remarks and links on his social media account on October 18, 2025.

In a tweet from that day, Gaetz wrote, “When did George Conway turn into an elderly lesbian? https://t.co/g9QnAOZCtj” (October 18, 2025).

Gaetz has served as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 1st District since succeeding Jeff Miller in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary.
