Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of tweets on October 10 and 11, 2025, addressing political figures and U.S. foreign aid.
On October 10, Gaetz made a personal remark about another lawmaker, writing: “The saddest part about this post is that Jerry Nadler hasn’t seen his own penis in decades.”
Later that day, he questioned U.S. financial support to Israel by posting: “America sends $21.7 billion to Israel. Are we not allowed to ask questions without being called ‘obsessive?'”

Matt Gaetz has served as the representative for Florida’s 1st District since succeeding Jeff Miller in 2017 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds degrees from Florida State University and the College of William & Mary.
