Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of tweets on July 31, 2025, expressing his views and sharing brief messages with his followers.

At 4:06 a.m. UTC on July 31, Gaetz tweeted, “Here for the new American Eagle https://t.co/Xmm2yb4niy”. A short time later, at 4:18 a.m. UTC, he wrote, “Law abiding New Yorkers need guns https://t.co/9PhBQPfsPw”. Later that morning at 5:11 a.m. UTC, Gaetz posted another message consisting of an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/yFSorsgy86″.

Matt Gaetz has served as a member of Congress for Florida’s 1st District since 2017 after succeeding Jeff Miller. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds degrees from Florida State University (BS) and the College of William & Mary (JD).
