Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of statements on social media between August 5 and August 6, 2025.

On August 5, Gaetz wrote, “Just ask if he voted for Kamala”. Later that evening, he announced an upcoming discussion by stating, “We will discuss the US support for the Self Determination of El Salvador tonight on @OANN”. The following day, he posted simply, “”.

Matt Gaetz has served as a member of Congress for Florida’s 1st District since 2017 and previously was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. He was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently resides in Niceville. Gaetz graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2003 and earned his Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary in 2007.
