Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of brief and ambiguous tweets on October 13 and 14, 2025.

On October 13, Gaetz wrote, “It could happen…” at 15:31 UTC. Later that day, at 20:16 UTC, he tweeted, “This is so true!” The following morning, on October 14 at 13:44 UTC, Gaetz posted an emoji, “”.

Gaetz, who succeeded Jeff Miller in Congress in 2017, has maintained an active presence on social media. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982, Gaetz is currently 40 years old and resides in Niceville. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary.
