Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of comments on his social media account on August 5, 2025.

In a tweet from August 5 at 14:31 UTC, Gaetz wrote, “Millennials and Zoomers won’t get to buy houses due to the high cost of money. But at least we have Polymarket! https://t.co/5Nx86IoNu1”.

Later that day, at 15:45 UTC, he added a brief reaction: “Yikes https://t.co/B0EWXJmXIZ”.

At 17:41 UTC on the same day, Gaetz tweeted: “Free Brazil! https://t.co/zijIV6W8F4”.

Gaetz is currently serving as a member of Congress for Florida’s 1st District and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. He was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and resides in Niceville. Gaetz graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2003 and earned his law degree from the College of William & Mary in 2007.
