Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 1st district since 2017, recently shared his views on several political matters through social media posts. Gaetz, born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and a graduate of Florida State University and the College of William & Mary, provided commentary on legal and financial issues involving public figures.

On May 21, 2025, Gaetz tweeted about a legal matter involving a congresswoman with the post: “Precise discussion of the case against the ICE-Assaulting Congresswoman”.

The following day, on May 22, 2025, he commented on an unspecified deal by tweeting: “Looks like a 40k cap is the deal?”.

Later that same day, Gaetz addressed concerns regarding financial practices within Florida’s political sphere. He posted: “Florida’s Attorney General thinks it’s unfair to ask why $10 million emerging from a state settlement ended up in his political committee.”
