Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of comments on November 1, 2025, addressing topics ranging from domestic politics to foreign policy.

In a post made at 14:47 UTC, Gaetz wrote: “When we were fighting for “democracy” in THIS country, you were saying Trump should be prosecuted.

Later that day at 19:32 UTC, Gaetz commented on former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies: “Trump created net negative migration.

If he does nothing else he deserves a spot on Mt Rushmore.”

Shortly after, at 19:40 UTC, Gaetz referenced former Vice President Dick Cheney’s approach to international affairs by stating: “Dick Cheney wants his foreign policy back https://t.co/cJuttddDdc”

Matt Gaetz is currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 1st district and has held this position since replacing Jeff Miller in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz graduated with a BS from Florida State University and later earned his JD from the College of William & Mary.
