Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of tweets on October 21, 2025, commenting on political events and public figures.
In his first tweet at 16:05 UTC, Gaetz referenced former Representative George Santos’s legal troubles, stating, “They put Santos in shackles He would have been perfectly restrained in a stylish quarter-zip”.
Shortly after, at 16:06 UTC, Gaetz praised another public figure by writing, “.@pulte is a true public servant!”.
Later that day at 17:15 UTC, he announced an upcoming program appearance by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan with the message: “Chairman Jordan joins our program tonight to discuss.”
Matt Gaetz has served as a U.S. Congressman for Florida’s 1st District since replacing Jeff Miller in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary.
