Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, posted a series of tweets on October 9 and 10, 2025, addressing a range of topics including media appearances and commentary on U.S.-Israel relations.

On October 9, 2025, Gaetz promoted an episode of a podcast, stating: “The Anchormen Show EP 65: Hold the Line w/Royce White https://t.co/6z87brQzEU”.

In the early hours of October 10, 2025, Gaetz commented on criticism directed at Israel’s alleged propaganda efforts targeting American churches, quoting conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza: “WOAH! Even @DineshDSouza says it’s ‘wrong’ for Israel to target American Churches with propaganda https://t.co/Vfb5r8yvdf”.

Later the same morning, Gaetz posted a statement regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writing: “Anti Bibi isn’t Antisemitism https://t.co/rqZqSkEXfz”.

Gaetz has been a member of Congress since 2017, succeeding Jeff Miller, and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982, Gaetz currently resides in Niceville. He holds a BS from Florida State University and a JD from the College of William & Mary.
