Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, known for his outspoken views, recently shared a series of tweets that have sparked discussions. Gaetz, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 1st district since 2017, replaced Jeff Miller and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016.

On June 17, 2025, Gaetz posted a tweet suggesting an interpretation of what he referred to as “Trump-Alpha speak.” In this tweet, he wrote: “I think I know what this means in Trump-Alpha speak. ‘Dear Khomeini – We are going to bomb your nuclear sites. If you respond by massively killing civilians, we will execute you. If you just shoot some missiles at Israel that you know we can mostly intercept, you can keep your.”

The following day, on June 18, Gaetz tweeted “The old days…” This brief statement was accompanied by a link to another source but lacked further context within the tweet itself.

Later on June 18, Gaetz expressed his stance on foreign policy with another tweet: “I’m not here for Israel’s regime change war.” This post underscores his position against involvement in conflicts aimed at altering regimes.

Gaetz was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently resides in Niceville. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary.
