Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who represented Florida’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress from 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, recently posted a series of comments on his social media account addressing political endorsements and international economic dynamics.

On August 15, 2025, Gaetz shared a brief message with an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/jaAvrOuogF”.

Later that day, he commented on a political endorsement, stating: “Massive endorsement. Reitz is very impressive. https://t.co/SZN9ibRrWF” (August 15, 2025).

On August 17, 2025, Gaetz weighed in on international economic matters involving Russia and BRICS nations by posting: “Everyone betting on BRICS is really hoping for secondary sanctions in re: Russia…”.

Gaetz has maintained a visible presence in national politics since replacing Jeff Miller in Congress in 2017. He was born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and resides in Niceville. Before his congressional tenure, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. Gaetz holds degrees from Florida State University and the College of William & Mary.
