Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, known for his vocal presence on social media, made several statements touching on various topics through his Twitter account recently. Born in Hollywood, Florida in 1982 and currently residing in Niceville, Gaetz has been serving in the U.S. Congress since replacing Jeff Miller in 2017, representing Florida’s 1st district. Before his tenure in Congress, Gaetz served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary.

On April 29, 2025, Gaetz expressed his views on marijuana descheduling in a straightforward tweet. He said, “There is no good reason not to deschedule marijuana”, which suggests his support for changing the legal status of marijuana.

Continuing his social media engagement, on April 30, 2025, Gaetz commented on efforts in Congress related to the investigation involving Jack Smith. He stated, “Jordan still wants answers from the Jack Smith crooks.” This tweet appears to reflect ongoing scrutiny and demand for clarity about actions involving Jack Smith.

Later on the same day, Gaetz tweeted a message of support directed at Wexler. The brief statement, “We love Wexler!”, stands out as an isolated declaration of admiration for, presumably, a person or entity named Wexler.
