The City Commission will host a budget workshop to review the proposed FY 2022 budget at 5 p.m. and regular meeting to consider the following items at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 in the James W. Hathaway Chambers at 214 Sams Ave.

  • Presentation of Outstanding Community Service Awards from New Smyrna Masonic Lodge 149 to Firefighter/Paramedics Chase Pierson and Elijah Hrbek
  • Proclamation honoring the 50th anniversary of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 4-8 District
  • Donating four vacant city-owned lots at 349 Palm St., 2519 Auburn Ave., 708 Francis Ave., and 2524 Nordman Ave. to nonprofit organizations
  • Final plat approval for Phase 5 of the Florida Days residential subdivision
  • Appeal to overturn the Planning & Zoning Board’s June 6 denial of a proposed site plan to build 322 new apartments in Venetian Bay’s Village Center East
