County of Santa Rosa recently issued the following announcement.

The University of Florida, IFAS and Pensacola State College Milton Campus will host its annual Spring Festival of Flowers on April 1-3. The three-day festival will be held on the 

University of Florida and Pensacola State College Milton Campus, 5988 Hwy 90 in Milton. Gates open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 

Sunday.

This popular event draws plant enthusiasts from all over and features plant nurseries, garden clubs, UF Student Club plant sale, yard art, various crafts, food, and educational 

opportunities. Proceeds will be used for student scholarships at the University of Florida, IFAS Milton Campus and Pensacola State College, student field trips and other student 

needs.

Vendor booth space is available for $100 for all three days of the festival. There is no charge for non-profit agencies. To secure a space, contact Robin Vickers at 850-393-7334 or

A Fort Walton Beach area woman faces charges after allegedly throwing beer bottles at a toddler who tried to help her following a fall from her bicycle. Witnesses say quick action by the child prevented injury, and no harm was reported.
