Saturday’s matchup unfolded at Tiger Field. This marked their initial meeting with Benedict this season.
Prieto posted four hits in six plate appearances, scoring four runs, driving in four, and tallying one strikeout.
The Tigers are set to face the Benedict Tigers again at Tiger Field at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7.
